This full-time position requires a skilled individual who can also contribute to the broader shop team by assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth daily operations and excellent customer service. ### What you'll do * Perform accurate clothing alterations and repairs, including hemming, mending, and resizing. * Operate and maintain sewing machines and other tailoring equipment. * Conduct quality checks on all altered garments before customer collection. * Assist with the processing of laundry items, ensuring they are cleaned and prepared to standard. * Clean sneakers using appropriate techniques and products. * Provide friendly and efficient customer service, assisting with queries and processing transactions. * Maintain a tidy and organised work area, including the tailoring station and shop floor. ### What you need **Essential:** * Proven experience in clothing alterations and repairs. * Proficiency in operating industrial and domestic sewing machines. * Ability to perform precise hand stitching and finishing. * Strong understanding of different fabric types and their handling. * Customer service experience in a retail environment. **Useful experience:** * Experience with sneaker cleaning techniques. * Familiarity with laundry processing procedures. ### What success looks like Success in this role means consistently delivering high-quality alterations with minimal re-dos, ensuring customer satisfaction with every garment.
