Showroom Assistant

Home Fabrics is looking for a reliable, vibrant, and self-motivated weekend Showroom Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is confident, well-presented, enjoys interior décor, and is comfortable working independently while providing outstanding service to our clients. Working Hours Saturdays: 09h00 - 18h00 - 1 hour lunch Sundays: 10h00 - 14h00 Public Holidays: 10h00 - 14h00 Rate per hour - R50 to R60 About Home Fabrics Home Fabrics is a leading South African textile wholesaler, supplying upholstery and curtaining fabrics, as well as wallpapers, to the interior design, décor and furniture industries. Our showroom welcomes interior designers, decorators and their clients who visit to view, touch and select fabrics for their projects. Key Responsibilities Welcome clients to the showroom and assist them with their fabric and wallpaper selections. Guide clients through our ranges, hanger books, sample walls and collections. Pull cutting swatches for clients to take home. Accurately capture customer contact details and enquiry information for follow-up by the sales team. Ensure the showroom remains neat, organized and samples restocked. Assist with basic showroom administration. Open and close the showroom on Sundays and Public Holidays. What We're Looking For A friendly, professional and approachable personality. Excellent customer service and communication skills. A reliable individual who can work independently and take initiative. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Confident interacting with customers in a showroom environment. An interest in interiors, décor or design would be advantageous. Trustworthy and dependable, with a strong sense of responsibility. Someone with their own reliable vehicle.
