Control Room Operator

We are seeking a dedicated Control Room Operator to join our team in Pretoria West, Gauteng, South Africa. This full-time position is crucial within the security operations sector, where you will be part of a dynamic environment focused on ensuring safety and security. As a Control Room Operator, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring systems and communicating effectively with personnel to address security concerns promptly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include monitoring and reviewing video surveillance feeds to identify potential security threats, coordinating emergency responses and communicating with security personnel in the field, maintaining logs of incidents and activities within the control room, operating communication devices to relay information to appropriate teams, performing regular checks on security systems to ensure proper functioning, assisting in devising and implementing security protocols in line with company policy, and collaborating with local authorities during security incidents. The Control Room Operator will work within a structured team environment, directly reporting to the Control Room Supervisor. You will engage frequently with security personnel, emergency response teams, and occasionally with external law enforcement agencies for cross-functional initiatives aimed at enhancing the safety of facilities.
